 What is Anodizing? Anodizing is a process in which an electrical current is passed through an electrolyte solution between a positively charged anode attached to the titanium (or niobium) earring, and a negatively charged cathode. This process produces a titanium oxide coating (or niobium oxide coating for niobium earrings) on the surface of the earring. Depending on the voltage of the current, different colors are produced. 
 For healing piercings from an allergic reaction to other earrings or for newly pierced ears, we recommend wearing Dirinda's 3mm or 4mm unanodized natural titanium post earrings shown at the links below. Some of our customers could not wear the anodized earrings until their ears were completely healed.
