Photography is my husband's and my form of meditation. Walking in nature or at zoos and connecting with the animals is a joy. But focusing through the lens to capture the personality of an animal requires clearing the mind and shutting down that inner dialogue. Many of the animals in our photographs have come to know and recognize us and I hope that this connection comes through in these photographs.
